North Dakota farmers to receive USDA paymentsNorth Dakota State Executive Director of the Farm Service Agency Aaron Krauter announced Friday that approximately $268.8 million in USDA payments will be made to North Dakota agricultural producers this month.
The payments include $93.8 million in Conservation Reserve Program rental payments and
$175 million in final direct payments.
CRP is a voluntary program that helps farmers and ranchers safeguard environmentally sensitive land and provides habitat for game and non-game species.
Final direct payments are made through the Direct and Counter-cyclical and Average Crop Revenue Election Programs, which provide payments to producers of certain commodities based on planting history and established yields.
