Berg did not do well in debateKudos to Prairie Public and moderator Matt Olien (I wouldn’t want that job) for hosting the first “face to face” debate between North Dakota’s U.S. House candidates.
Other than the obvious party-line rhetoric, I couldn’t get over how Republican candidate Rick Berg kept looking into the camera like he was making a statement while Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D., was always focusing on Berg and the task at hand. Was that “Washington-Republican” coaching vs. someone who knows how to talk “face to face” when debating the real issues?
Please try to review the debate and see if you notice it, too.
