Fargo doesn’t want a rookieAs a lifetime Devils Lake Basin resident, I have watched in awe as Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D., secured almost $1 billion for our flood control projects. The building of dikes and pump houses, the raising of roads and bridges and the securing of land payments for farmers has been phenomenal, and the Lake Region thanks you, Mr. Pomeroy.
If it is the desire of the Fargo citizenry to get your flood control project completed, you don’t want a rookie with no clout in the U.S. House of Representatives leading your charge. You want a proven veteran who has a long history of delivering the goods. Pomeroy is a proven leader in an excellent position to secure the funding for your flood control project – just as he has done for Devils Lake.
