Jamestown police officers involved in shooting back on dutyJAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Three Jamestown police officers involved in a shooting last month have been cleared to return to duty.
Stutsman County State's Attorney Fritz Fremgen told The Jamestown Sun that an investigation has indicated the force used by the officers was "reasonable and appropriate" and that they committed no crime.
The officers on Sept. 19 responded to a report of a suicidal man at an apartment building and fired at a man who pointed a loaded shotgun at them.
The man has not been charged. His condition is not available.
The names of the officers were not released.
