Motorcycle-pickup collision sends one man to hospital; traffic on Fargo's 45th Street delayed

FARGO – One man has been taken to a Fargo hospital after a motorcycle-pickup crash on 45th Street South.

The southbound motorcyclist, who was turning east onto Seventh Avenue, was struck about 3 p.m. by a pickup traveling north on 45th Street, according to Fargo Police Sgt. Kevin Volrath.

The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to Essentia Health and the extent of injuries is unknown, Volrath said.

Witnesses at the scene said the motorcyclist appeared to suffer serious injuries.

Police said details of the crash remain unclear and officers plan to reconstruct the collision to determine what happened.

Traffic in the area of the crash is being slowed or rerouted.
