Census: Dakotas have fastest commute timesSIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The latest census estimates show drivers in the Dakotas have the fastest commute times in the nation.
The Sioux Falls Argus Leader reports that North Dakota's average commute time is 16.6 minutes. South Dakota was just a tick slower at 16.7 minutes.
The U.S. Census American Community Survey says the national average is 25 minutes.
The survey says Sioux Falls residents had a 17.6 minute commute last year while Fargo drivers averaged about 17 minutes.
