Infant’s death likely caused by medical issue

A preliminary investigation suggests the death of a newborn from Sebeka, Minn., on Tuesday was caused by a medical issue, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies investigated the death of the baby, who was born on Sept. 22, after a 911 call reported the infant was vomiting and having difficult breathing, according to a news release.

The child was transported to Tri-County Hospital in Wadena, Minn., and died at the hospital. An autopsy is being conducted by the Ramsey County Corner.
