Oil truck rolls, catches fire near Mandaree, ND

BISMARCK, N.D. — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says an oil truck became engulfed in flames after running off state Highway 22 outside Mandaree on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation.

The Bismarck Tribune reports that the truck was hauling crude Tuesday afternoon when it overturned. Troopers say the driver, 33-year-old Jeremy Swanson of Billings, Mont., was ejected from the truck.

Troopers say Swanson was taken to a hospital in Minot. His condition was not immediately known.

The patrol estimated $25,000 in damage to the truck. There was no immediate estimate of the amount of oil spilled.
