Sobriety checkpoint scheduled Saturday in FargoFARGO – The Fargo Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint within city limits on Saturday.
The Police Department has conducted 46 sobriety checkpoints since October 2004 that have resulted in 145 arrests for DUI. The purpose of sobriety checkpoints is to deter impaired driving. Law enforcement encourages securing a safe and sober ride in order to reduce alcohol related crashes.
The checkpoints are funded in part through grants.
