Two people injured after hitting cow

Two people were taken to the hospital with injuries when the car they were riding in struck a cow on Highway 29 near Alexandria, Minn.

According to the State Patrol, Timothy Paige, 20, and Jennifer Wilde, 19, both of Alexandria, received minor injuries. They were both taken to the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria.

Paige was driving a 1991 Dodge Shadow north on Highway 29 when they struck a cow on the roadway.

The accident occurred just after 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Both were wearing their seat belts. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
