Missing man's van turns up in ChicagoSHOREVIEW, Minn. (AP) — Family members are waiting for more information about a Shoreview man who told his wife he'd been kidnapped.
Twenty-nine-year-old Matthew Anderson was last seen Friday afternoon at a Roseville apartment complex where he worked. He called his wife Friday night and said he'd been kidnapped by two men and believed he was somewhere in Iowa.
Authorities say his van was found Sunday in downtown Chicago, but there was no sign of Anderson.
Anderson's father, Bill, says Monday that he's waiting by the phone for information. He says his son is a "sweet kid" and a happy-go-lucky, outgoing guy who would help anyone who needed it.
Matthew Anderson is married and has a 1-year-old daughter.
