Pedestrian-car accident prompts MSUM arrestA Fargo man was booked into the Clay County Jail after a vehicle struck a pedestrian early Saturday on the Minnesota State University Moorhead campus.
Jordan Stephan Risher, 22, faces criminal vehicular operation and third-degree DWI charges.
A release from Moorhead police said an officer came across the accident at 12:15 a.m. near the 1300 block of Sixth Avenue South. Police said the driver of the vehicle attempted to make an abrupt turn heading east into the U Lot of MSUM and struck Joshua Michael Wegener of Moorhead.
Police said Wegener, 20, was walking on the sidewalk before the crash.
Wegener was taken to a local hospital by FM Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries to his arm and knee.
