Maplewood State Park to host fall activitiesMaplewood State Park near Pelican Rapids, Minn., will host four days of activities over two weekends to coincide with the fall color season.
The Friends of Maplewood will give wagon rides to view the fall colors on Sept. 25-26 and Oct. 2-3.
An activity time for children will take place at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 25, and a digital scavenger hunt will happen at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 2.
Penny Brynildson also will offer an “Introduction to Geocaching” class at 1:30 p.m. each Saturday.
All activities will begin at the Josh Hanson Memorial Picnic Shelter.
The 9,250-acre park is seven miles east of Pelican Rapids on Highway 108.
