Safety advocate dies in Minnesota highway crashCHISAGO CITY, Minn. (AP) — A man who founded a non-profit agency aimed at keeping Minnesota roadways safe has died in a highway crash in Chisago County.
The State Patrol says 42-year-old Scott Judd of Andover died Wednesday afternoon when his van collided head-on with a semi on Highway 8.
Judd was the owner and founder of DWI Ride Home. The 24-hour service picks up people at bars, restaurants and homes when they've had too much to drink.
KARE-TV says the driver of the semi, 51-year-old Larry Christensen of Luck, Wis., suffered minor injuries.
