Enderlin to host Sunflower Festival

ENDERLIN, N.D. – The annual Sunflower Festival here will run today through Sunday.

Today’s events include a chili cook-off, Lil’ Miss and Mr. Sunflower Pageant and a performance by magician Jack Sand.

On Thursday, events include a fishing derby, duck race and bingo. Friday events include a lunch buffet, museum open house, book fair, Games Galore, a performance by Johnny Butten, the world’s fastest banjo player, trivia contest, street dance and glow bowling.

On Saturday, the Lions will host a pancake and sausage breakfast followed by a quilt show, rummage sales, 5K and 10K runs, softball tournament, golf scramble, free-throw contest and a skateboard competition. There will also be parades, tractor pulls, a car show and street dance.

On Sunday, the softball tournament continues, along with the book fair, a pool tournament and a Christian concert.
