Big Iron farm show gets under way in ND

WEST FARGO, N.D. — About 75,000 people and 900 exhibitors are expected to attend this year's Big Iron farm show in West Fargo.

The event Tuesday through Thursday at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds features training sessions, demonstrations and other events focused around agriculture.

Big Iron is celebrating its 30th anniversary. General Manager Bryan Schultz says it gets bigger every year. U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack is scheduled to attend this year.

Gov. John Hoeven said about 110 buyers of farm and ranch equipment and livestock are expected to attend the Big Iron Farm Show's International Visitors Program. The buyers are from 10 countries, from Russia to South Africa. The program is coordinated by the North Dakota Trade Office and the U.S. Commercial Service.
