Air museum to host Free Market ForumThe North Dakota Policy Council is hosting its third annual Free Market Forum Saturday at the Fargo Air Museum, featuring guest speakers Barry Goldwater Jr. and author Thomas E. Woods.
Theme for the forum is “Defending the Tenth,” referring to the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which states: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
Goldwater is a former Republican member of the U.S. House from California and the son of the late Sen. Barry Goldwater of Arizona, who ran for president against Lyndon Johnson in 1964.
Woods has written several books. His latest is “Nullification: How to Resist Federal Tyranny in the 21st Century.”
A dinner starts at 6 p.m., followed by the speeches by Goldwater and Woods, and a question-and-answer session.
C-Span 2 will be covering the speeches at the museum, 1609 19th Ave. N.
