Happy Hooligans sets Saturday event in FargoThe Happy Hooligans will be hosting the first-ever Hometown Heroes Salute in Fargo Saturday.
The ceremony will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the North Dakota Air National Guard Base.
A similar event will be hosted in Minot, aimed to honor the more than 1,800 airmen who have been deployed in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven; Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk, North Dakota adjutant general; and Col. Rick Gibney, 119th Wing commander, will speak at the Fargo ceremony.
The event is designed to honor the more than 300 North Dakota airmen and their families. Following the ceremony, the 119th Wing will celebrate Family Day at the base.
