Racial and ethnic bias hearing set Sept. 10BISMARCK – The North Dakota Supreme Court Commission to Study Racial and Ethnic Bias in the Courts will sponsor a public hearing from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 10 in the Bismarck Civic Center Exhibition Hall.
The commission wants to hear about personal experiences of racial or ethnic bias and discrimination in the North Dakota court system. Participants’ names will not be included in the final report arising from the testimony.
Several commission members, including justices of the North Dakota Supreme Court, as well as district court judges and attorneys, will be available to take testimony after the formal meeting until 3 p.m.
