Four businesses fail Fargo-Moorhead alcohol checksFour of 81 businesses checked by police in the Fargo-Moorhead area on Thursday failed to be in compliance with alcohol sales laws.
In Fargo, Ramada Plaza Suites failed the check. In Moorhead, Gio’s Bar and Grill failed.
Galaxy Lanes Supper Club in Barnesville, Minn., and the Crow Bar in Sabin, Minn., also failed.
The Fargo, West Fargo, Moorhead police departments and the Clay County Sheriff’s Department participated in checking that local businesses were not selling liquor to minors.
In Fargo, establishments can be fined up to $500 for the first offense, or up to $750 for the second offense.
In Moorhead, a first offense is punishable by a fine of $250. If a business fails again within a two-year period, there is an automatic fine of $500 and one-day suspension of the liquor license.
