YMCA AmeriCorps accepting applicationsThe YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties is accepting applications for AmeriCorps members who want to serve terms beginning Oct. 1.
Members provide service to YMCA participants through roles such as volunteer coordinator, active older adult coordinator, youth mentors, homework assistants, youth fitness advisers and special-needs assistants.
AmeriCorps members receive a monthly living allowance in return for their service.
Upon successful completion of a term, members also qualify for an education award of $2,675.
New to the program this year, AmeriCorps members ages 55 and older may serve and donate their earned education award to their children or grandchildren.
