Moorhead man arrested after pointing gunA Moorhead man faces a felony assault charge after police responded to a disturbance Friday morning that involved a male pointing a shotgun at two people.
Moorhead police said officers received the report about 3:45 a.m. Friday outside 3015 20th St. S.
The investigation found that two males were physically fighting each other when a third male pointed a gun at them.
Police believe the male pointing the gun was trying to get the people to stop fighting. No one was hurt. The weapon was found.
Police arrested 19-year-old Shawn Michael Wanner, who was charged Friday in Clay County District Court with second-degree assault with a deadly weapon.
Wanner was being held in the Clay County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond or cash. His next court appearance is Sept. 13.
Daniel Benjamin Habiger, 21, Fargo, and Justin Michael Schue, 27, Moorhead, were both cited with disorderly conduct and released from the scene.
