North Dakota Highway Patrol to conduct checkpointsThe North Dakota Highway Patrol will conduct sobriety checkpoints and alcohol enforcement saturations this weekend in Rolette and Walsh counties.
Sobriety checkpoints will be held Saturday at pre-determined locations in Rolette County between
8 and 10 p.m. and in Walsh County between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m.
The enforcement saturations, which will increase the number of troopers patrolling the area, will take place throughout both counties today and Saturday.
Overtime funding provided by the North Dakota Department of Transportation will be used.
The goal is to provide high visibility enforcement and remove alcohol impaired drivers form the roadway.
