Minnesota water, soil group to tour river projectsThe Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources will tour water projects on the Minnesota side of the Red River Basin on Wednesday in conjunction with its board meeting in Moorhead on Thursday.
The Buffalo-Red River Watershed District and the Wilkin, Becker and Clay soil and water conservation districts are hosting the tour.
The tour bus will leave the Courtyard by Marriot in Moorhead at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Representatives from the various boards, county commissioners and other local and state agencies will be on the tour.
The tour will highlight several Minnesota projects in the Red River Basin including Manston Slough, Deerhorn Creek, LaBelle/Boyer Lakes and Oakport, among others.
