Two Wahpeton residents injured in ATV accidentTwo Wahpeton residents have been hospitalized, one with serious injuries, after an all-terrain vehicle they were driving Sunday morning flipped over backward and trapped them underneath.
Driver Arlyn Johnson, 44, was taken by Life Flight to Innovis Health in Fargo with serious injuries. Passenger Lee Johnson, 74, was taken to Innovis by ambulance.
The Johnsons had been driving a 1996 Polaris ATV in a CRP field one mile southeast of Colfax, N.D., when the ATV flipped over backward, trapping them underneath. Lee Johnson was able to get out from under the ATV, lift it off Arlyn and take him into Colfax, where emergency units were called.
An Innovis spokeswoman said she did not have condition reports on the accident victims.
