Sobriety checkpoint results in five DUIsFive DUI arrests were made Friday night when the Fargo Police Department conducted a sobriety checkpoint in the 1400 block of University Drive.
Another driver was cited for driving under suspension, and three people in another vehicle, including the driver, were cited for having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. One of the passengers was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
The checkpoint began at 11:37 p.m. and concluded at 2:30 a.m. A total of 455 vehicles drove through the checkpoint, with 30 being flagged for further testing.
This marks the 45th checkpoint Fargo police have conducted since October 2004. There have been a total of 143 DUI arrests made at Fargo sobriety checkpoints.
