Five juveniles injured in Richland County crashFive juveniles were injured in an automobile accident Wednesday evening near Fairmount, N.D.
A 17-year-old male was driving a pickup on a rural gravel road seven miles west of Fairmount when he lost control of the vehicle, said Sgt. Troy Hischer of the North Dakota State Patrol.
The driver and two 12-year-old female juvenile passengers were ejected from the vehicle and transported by ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for non-life-threatening injuries.
The other two passengers, ages 7 and 9, were treated and released for minor injuries at a Breckenridge, Minn., hospital.
The driver may be cited for violating conditions of his driver’s permit, which requires an adult to be present in the vehicle, Hischer said.
The names were not being released Wednesday evening.
