Texas man, victim of crash in northwest ND, identifiedROSS, N.D. — The Highway Patrol has identified a man who died in a single-vehicle crash in northwest North Dakota.
Authorities say a sport utility vehicle driven by 41-year-old David Deleon Jr. of Laredo, Texas, went in the ditch and overturned about 11:30 p.m. Monday, throwing Deleon.
The crash happened on a Mountrail County gravel road southwest of Ross. Deleon was alone in the vehicle.
The patrol initially said the victim was from Minnesota.
