Bank robbery suspect has previous convictionsHANKINSON, N.D. – An Iowa man suspected in a Nebraska bank robbery and arrested Thursday in Richland County has previous bank robbery convictions.
Edward Corey, 57, was convicted in the late 1980s of multiple bank robberies in North Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin, a U.S. Marshals statement says.
Corey was arrested near Dakota Magic Casino Thursday after U.S. Marshals notified area law enforcement that Corey was believed to be frequenting casinos while traveling through North Dakota.
Corey was sought for allegedly robbing a bank on Aug. 2 in South Sioux City, Neb., and for walking away from a half-way house in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on July 11.
