DQ ‘Miracle Treat Day’ slated for ThursdayDairy Queen will host the fifth annual North American “Miracle Treat Day” on Thursday to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network.
Proceeds from the sale of all Blizzards sold in the region will benefit the Sanford Children’s Hospital in Fargo.
Children’s Miracle Network guests will be making appearances at area Dairy Queens throughout the day.
Signe Harris, 9-year-old daughter of Brad and Laura Harris of Moorhead, will visit the Fargo Dairy Queen at 4015 45th St. S. at 3 p.m. Harris is a cancer survivor who was diagnosed in February 2006.
Miss Moorhead Bethany Beniek and Miss Red River Valley Outstanding Teen Paige Meyer will celebrate Miracle Treat Day from noon to 2 p.m. at the Moorhead Dairy Queen, 24 8th St. S.
Also appearing at the Moorhead Dairy Queen will be Matt Garberg, 10-year-old son of Bryan and Clare Garberg of Moorhead, and Evan Krogen, 4-year-old son of Mark and Laura Krogen of West Fargo. Garberg was born prematurely and has dealt with many medical issues since birth. Krogen was diagnosed with leukemia in January 2009.
