Wiring valued at $10K stolen near WolvertonWOLVERTON, Minn. – Several hundred feet of copper electrical wiring was stolen over the weekend from a gravel pit near Wolverton.
Around 7:15 a.m. Monday, Turner Sand and Gravel Inc. of Wolverton reported that 800 to 1,000 feet of cord used to power the company’s crushing plant had been cut and taken sometime over the weekend.
The estimated value of the wire is $10,000 plus connectors and lost production, the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office stated in a news release.
Several sizes of cord were taken, and some are very distinctive because they are only used in commercial applications, the release states.
