CONFERENCE EXPANSION: NSIC has site visits to Sioux Falls and Minot State setSt. Paul - Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Commissioner Butch Raymond has announced that site visits to the campuses of Minot State University and the University of Sioux Falls will take place this fall.
The site visit to University of Sioux Falls will take place on Sept. 28-29, while the site visit to the Minot State University will take place on October 19-20.
A team led by Minnesota-Crookston Chancellor Dr. Charles Casey will include Winona State University Athletics Director Larry Holstad, Wayne State College Faculty Athletic Representative Shawn Pearcy and Southwest Minnesota State University Senior Woman’s Administrator Rolly Muller. Commissioner Butch Raymond and NSIC Associate Commissioner Erin Lind join the group as well.
At the June NSIC Board of Directors meeting a motion was made and passed to continue the process to consider expansion by making site visits to Minot State University and the University of Sioux Falls.
The NSIC, which includes Minnesota State Moorhead, currently has 14 teams and is looking to expand to 16.
