5 North Dakota properties listed on National Register

BISMARCK – The state Historical Society says five more North Dakota properties have been listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The register is the federal government’s list of properties it considers worthy of preservation and recognition.

The properties are: Walla Theater in Walhalla, built in 1949; the Old Settlers’ Pavilion on Stump Lake in Nelson County; the 1910 Travelers Hotel in Noonan; Denbigh Station and Experimental Forest in McHenry County; and the WPA Stone Structures in Memorial Park and Calvary Cemetery in Grand Forks.
