Man accused of groping sleeping woman in FargoA 27-year-old Fargo man accused earlier this month of molesting a woman in her sleep was arrested and made an initial appearance Thursday in Cass County District Court.
In court records, Fargo police allege that Michael Allen Foyt was staying at the apartment of a woman he’d met earlier the night of June 1 when the woman woke up on a couch with his hand down her shorts.
The alleged victim told police she yelled at Foyt and then went to tell her roommate, according to court records. By the time she got back, Foyt had left through the patio door, court records state.
Foyt told police he and the alleged victim were both trying to get to sleep when she rolled over on top of him. He said he was attempting to move her leg off him when she woke up.
A felony charge of gross sexual imposition was filed against Foyt on July 19 and an arrest warrant for him was issued June 23, court records show.
After the warrant was served earlier this week, Foyt appeared in court on Thursday. Bail was set at $10,000 cash or bond.
