6-year-old revived after near drowning in poolCASSELTON, N.D. – A 6-year-old boy nearly drowned Wednesday in the city pool in Casselton, authorities said.
At about 2:45 p.m., the boy was reported missing by his baby sitter and found unresponsive in the deep end of the pool, said Cass County Sheriff’s Capt. Rick Majerus.
Lifeguard staff performed CPR on him for one to two minutes before he regained consciousness and began to cry, Majerus said.
The boy, who wasn’t identified by officials, was transported by helicopter to a hospital, and his condition was not known.
“It didn’t sound real bad, but I’m not a doctor,” Majerus said.
Majerus said deputies are investigating the incident.
