Minnesota's Klobuchar to introduce anti-stalking bill with "Dancing with the Stars" celebrityWASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar is teaming up with ESPN reporter Erin Andrews, a stalking victim, to push for a tougher federal anti-stalking law.
The Minnesota Democrat will carry the Senate version of a bill introduced last week in the House. It's got a long name that boils down to the acronym "STALKERS."
Klobuchar holds a Washington news conference on Tuesday with Andrews and three House members.
Andrews was stalked by an Illinois insurance executive who secretly recorded nude videos of her through hotel room peepholes. Michael Barrett pleaded guilty to interstate stalking and is serving a 2-1/2 year sentence in federal prison.
