Two plead guilty in Best Buy theft case

Two men charged in connection with a series of thefts from Fargo’s Best Buy store each pleaded guilty Monday to one count of felony theft.

Christopher Michael Griffin was sentenced in Cass County District Court to 15 days in jail to be followed by 18 months of supervised probation.

He is also to pay $500 in fees and pay restitution, which has yet to be determined.

Anthony Alexander Sands was sentenced to five days in jail to be followed by 18 months of supervised probation.

Sands, too, must pay $500 in fees and restitution when it is determined.

A total of 12 people were charged in connection with the theft of electronics from the store. Besides Griffin and Sands, one other defendant has pleaded guilty.

Two defendants have trials pending, and several others have indicated they plan to change not guilty pleas to guilty pleas.
