Abuser of animals a stranger dangerWhen we are surrounded by strangers in this world, such as Adam Freeman (letter, July 20) is to me, caution trumps trust. Animals are able to save your life. Can your dresser do the same? If someday your life depends on an animal, be it a K-9 dog looking for your assailant, a companion dog if you become disabled, etc, I sincerely pray for their safety.
Freeman is the definition of a very dangerous stranger. North Dakota state laws need to be elevated to felony level for animal abusers. Nothing less will begin to protect the defenseless in our society from the Adam Freemans of this world.
