Forum editorial: Have a safe time at downtown fairAs always during the Fargo Downtown Street Fair, traffic can be a problem. As the fair opens its second day today under sunny skies, a little caution is in order for motorists and the thousands of pedestrians downtown for the big event.
Major east-west thoroughfares are open, but they cross Broadway and the fair zone. Motorists should either be very careful negotiating the area, or better yet, avoid it.
Fairgoers have a responsibility, also. They should pay attention to the walk zones on those thoroughfares where traffic is moving. Stop, look and don’t cross if traffic is moving.
Have a good time downtown, but also have a safe time.
