Motorcycle-deer crash near Hawley injures two

Two people were injured Sunday evening when the motorcycle they were riding struck a deer on Highway 10, about five miles west of Hawley, Minn.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office:

A male and female traveling on the motorcycle struck the deer around 7:15 p.m.

Both reported head injuries at the scene. The male, who was conscious and responsive, was transported to a Fargo hospital by LifeFlight.

A separate crash occurred on U.S. Highway 10 about two hours earlier at state Highway 9 near Glyndon, Minn.
