American Legion baseball: West Fargo rallies for split at Gopher ClassicARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The West Fargo Patriots used a three-run seventh inning to post a 5-4 win over Sioux Falls West on Saturday at the Gopher Classic American Legion baseball tournament.
Karson Mapes led off the seventh by reaching on an error. David Johnson connected for a single and Andy Young sacrificed Mapes and Johnson up a base.
Spencer Flaten tied the game with a two-run double and later scored the winning run by stealing home.
West Fargo (22-11) opened the day with a 9-1 loss to Rosetown.
The Patriots play Hopkins at 8:30 a.m. today and finish the tournament with a game against Coon Rapids at 1:30 p.m.
