Pawlenty returns to NH for 3rd trip in 7 months, for possible presidential profileCONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is returning to New Hampshire for the third time in seven months as he tries to raise his profile in a state pivotal to presidential politics.
Pawlenty, who is leaving office after his second term ends in January, insists he hasn't decided whether he'll run for president in 2012, but he has visited both Iowa and New Hampshire twice since ruling out another run for governor.
Todayy, he'll attend a Strafford County GOP picnic in Dover and a state Republican Party fundraiser in Dublin. Last month, he set up a political action committee in the state to raise and spend money on behalf of Republicans running for state and local offices.
