Fargo-Moorhead motorists to see lane reductions on Red River bridgesMotorists on Main Avenue/Highway 10 and Interstate 94 will encounter lane closures at Red River bridges between Fargo and Moorhead beginning today.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on the Main Avenue bridge while crews apply a seal coat to the bridge deck.
The I-94 eastbound and westbound bridges will require lane closures while crews repair and grind the concrete roadway approaches and seal the bridge decks. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on the bridges at all times by using the shoulders as traffic lanes.
Lane closures may extend into the two-lane section at Eighth Street/Highway 75 east of the bridges after the morning commute and before the evening commute.
PCI Roads LLC is the prime contractor for the $1 million safety project. It will be completed in early August, weather permitting.
