Northwood gets hotel, laundry, RV park

NORTHWOOD, N.D. (AP) — The northeast North Dakota town of Northwood continues to recover, three years after a devastating tornado.

Officials this week cut the ribbon for a new hotel, laundry and RV park. The $558,500 project was funded through private investment and a government loan.

An August 2007 tornado that ripped through the community of 1,000 people killed one man and injured 18, and damaged or destroyed numerous buildings. Other projects since then include a $13 million school.
