Engvall, Foxworthy to play Fargodome

Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall will play the Fargodome on Nov. 20.

The show was listed on the touring industry website www.pollstar.com and Foxworthy’s site, www.jefffoxworthy.com on Wednesday.

Rob Sobolik, Fargodome general manager, wouldn’t confirm or deny the show, but did say the event is something the facility was pursuing.

The stand-up comics were featured in the early 2000s on the “Blue Collar Comedy” tours and subsequent TV specials.

Foxworthy, best known for his “You might be a redneck …” jokes, currently hosts the TV game show “Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?”

Engvall starred in his own, self-titled sitcom on TNT from 2007-09.

The show would wrap up Fargo shows by all four of the “Redneck” comedians. Ron White packed the Fargo Theatre in May 2009 and Larry the Cable Guy played to about 2,000 at the Fargodome a year earlier.

Earlier this year, the Fargodome scored a hit when ventriloquist comedian Jeff Dunham drew 7,000 fans to his February show.

Ticket information for the show was unavailable, but a note on Foxworthy’s site said tickets generally go on sale five weeks before the show, or in this case, mid-October.
