Bernie Dardis receives North Dakota leadership award

Bernie Dardis received the North Dakota Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership Award during the West Fargo Exchange Club meeting Tuesday at the Speedway Event Center in West Fargo.

The award is one of the chamber’s highest honors and is presented in recognition of the spirit of service and support Dardis brings to West Fargo, according to a news release.

Dardis has been involved in many community organizations and events for several years, including the West Fargo Exchange Club, Metro Youth Partnership, Fargo-Moorhead Personnel Association, West Fargo and Fargo-Moorhead chambers of Commerce, North Dakota State University Student Union and Activities Advisory Board, March of Dimes Bowls for Babies fundraiser and Dollars for Scholars.

Most recently, he was chosen unanimously by local leaders to receive the West Fargo Exchange Club’s 2009 Book of Golden Deeds Award.

He was also recently presented with the Elephants Remembered award at the North Dakota Republican Convention, along with the 2009-10 Republican Party Volunteer of the Year award.

Dardis has also been awarded the NDSU Masters of Success Lifetime Achievement Award and was inducted into the Theta Chi Fraternity Hall of Fame.
