If all goes well, NDSU hopes to start BSA construction next springFARGO - What has been a fuzzy project for years is finally coming into focus. The North Dakota State Board of Higher Education unanimously approved the renovation of the Bison Sports Arena leaving athletic director Gene Taylor with a sense of optimism.
Taylor, in fact, said he hopes construction can begin next spring provided the funding is in place.
The $34.1 million pricetag, all privately raised, includes a separate $5 million indoor track and field facility to be built west of the new artificial turf practice field. Taylor said there are no signed financial commitments, but he did indicate that day may not be far away.
“The interest level I would say makes us very close,” he said.
