Anderson is medalist in stroke play

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Oxbow, N.D., golfer Amy Anderson won medalist honors during stroke play qualifying at the Women’s Western Golf Association National Amateur Championship on Tuesday.

Anderson, who was a freshman at North Dakota State this past season, followed up Monday’s round of 68 by shooting a 69 on Tuesday. Her two-day total of 137 was two better than second-place Cyna Rodriguez.

Anderson advances to match play. Pairings were not available at press time.
