Hoeven leads Potter by 54 percentage points in latest pollRepublican Gov. John Hoeven has the support of nearly three-fourths of likely North Dakota voters in the state’s U.S. Senate race, according to a poll released Tuesday.
In a Rasmussen Reports poll of 500 likely voters surveyed June 15 and 16, Hoeven had 73 percent of voters’ support, which gives him a lead of 54 percentage points over Democratic-NPL challenger Tracy Potter.
Potter garnered 19 percent of voters’ support.
Additionally, 2 percent of those polled preferred a candidate other than Potter or Hoeven, and 6 percent were undecided in the race. The results have a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.
The poll’s results are largely consistent with previous monthly polls conducted by Rasmussen Reports since February.
Libertarian candidate Keith Hanson, of West Fargo, was not named in the poll.
