Cass County to spray for mosquitoesWEST FARGO – Cass County Vector Control will conduct ground spraying for mosquitoes in several locations Saturday and Monday, weather permitting.
Spraying is planned on Saturday in the Brooktree Park subdivision and cities of Mapleton and Leonard, and on Sunday in the cities of Kindred and North River and Stanley Township subdivisions.
All spraying will take place between 8:30 and 11 p.m.
The active ingredient in the spray is permethrin, which is non-toxic to humans and pets, according to Cass County Vector Control.
Still, Vector Control crews will stop sprayers if people are in the vicinity or downwind of the application, and residents are asked to move indoors so the areas can be treated in a timely manner.
